Chair massage on the go
Chair massage is usually acupressure based, often in a very brief session. It is usually done in a special chair in which the client sits facing toward the cushions and with their back towards the person implementing the massage. In chair massage, your scalp, shoulders, neck, back, hips and arms can be worked on. These sessions may last anywhere between five minutes and thirty minutes long.
The chair massage was originally referred to as on site massages, usually done in the workplace. This type of chair was developed in 1986 for a workplace situation. Since then, we have seen them in airports, convention centers, storefronts, sporting events, health fairs and more.
For this treatment, the client remains fully clothed and the session is relatively inexpensive and shorter than that of a full table massage. Having a session at the chair massage is a good was to get re-energized and yet ease away the tense muscles when you are out and about. More and more people understand the need to be aligned and rejuvenated and yet relaxed and so this type of treatment is becoming more and more popular.
